With a background in creating and installing artistic structures for cultural festivals, Belgian born Jelle has devoted himself to drawing and making sculptures in his mobile atelier in de the Vallespir region in the South of France from 2018 onwards. Inspired by the wonders of the natural world and the gaze of his child.

Nature, mainly birds, captured in robust but elegant forms. Always made with reused materials like iron and drift wood. Jelle is giving the material a second life by manually molding and constructing the sculptures. In general he always starts with a sketch, after which he is selecting the material. Through manual processes, using as little machinery as possible, the sculptures are formed.
